| Here I am attaching the alternator and the Vintage Air TiteFit Line/compact compressor. The super rigid truss-architecture design is CNC machined from 6061 billet aluminum. |

Here is the power steering pump bracket that mounts to the block and slides over the water pump studs. |

Next I slid the above assembly over the water pump studs. One of the nice things about the system is that everything is block-mounted. This design allows any deck height/cylinder head combination. It uses no head or intake mounting bolts like conventional brackets. This also means not having to drill holes in your heads like some systems. If you heads already have holes in them that break into the rocker valley you need to plug them before installing the system. |

Here is the belt tensioner in place. There are two different ways you can mount the tensioner. Make sure you read the directions. I believe it has to do with having or not having power steering. The belt tensioner will keep everything in check and increases the life of all your accessories and you belt. You might be surprised how quick you can ruin and alternator by over tightening the belt.
| There are different
types of pumps available with different pressures, fittings, steel
housings, aluminum housings and so on. Do yourself a favor and
call the experts at
Detroit
Speed & Engineering. They have worked closely with Vintage Air
and can get the right pump for you.
Please note the pulley in the picture to the right. This is NOT how you are supposed to mount it. I made the mistake of putting in on upside down. The directions were clear but my head was not at the time. |

After you mount the crank pulley and the power steering pump here is what it looks like. All you need to do now is plumb your power steering lines, water hose and AC lines. I can't wait to put it to work. Check back soon as I complete the assembly adding my AC lines using the new braided lines available at Vintage Air. You put them together like regular braided lines. No crimping needed!
